My wife and I got the privilege of visiting Hillside this Sunday. When you are in the parking lot, the view says it all. Hillside has such potential to reach a huge amount of people. It was exciting to me to think of how many people out there are thirsting for a relationship with God, and Hillside looks out it's front doors at them all with open arms.
God has been speaking to me quite a bit latley. I go on bike rides by myself, but really I like to say I am riding with Jesus. I pray a lot and have lots of time to listen. God has told me two things that speak in two different ways in my life. One is that there is a lot of work ahead of me. Cool with me, I'm up for working hard for God (you know I'd do anything for the Big Guy). But the second is something a lot more intersting..."revolution". Usually this has a negative stigma attached to it, but not in this sence. It was more of a feeling of a revolution of a church within a community(good), not a revolution within the church community(bad...sometimes). This is very exciting. But like I said, it can work two different ways in my life. All I know is that if there is a revolution, I want to be a part of it. I think he will give me bits and pieces of what I'm looking for, leaving me to put it together. I think I'm getting the point though.
God is so good!

my heart toward reno-sparks has changed greatly, now when i visit carson i think "stupid little stink-town, i can't believe i ever lived here" i don't understand what motivates such a one city is better idea, but anyway, i like this place better than stink-town.
I started running this summer and I found that was a great time to spend time with God. My knee gave out on me in mid-August and I viewed it not as a physical injury, but a spiritual one. Just another reason to never again play city league softball. As far as Reno vs. Carson goes, that's like arguing feces vs. vomit. They're obviously different from each other (unless you eat feces and puke it up), but they both smell pretty bad and I am annoyed whenever I come close to stepping in them.
I want to be a part of the revolution too -
i'm with david o. on this one, i think both towns leave much to be desired but the people are where it's at. i love the people in both of these stinky towns and so i'm glad that they are not far from each other.
I had a friend who once said, "wanna get naked & start the revolution?" He did & it started.
It was goog seeing you and the wife at church on Sunday...
but I wanna joing murdoc's friends revolution...it sounds like fun...and Carson sucks...I've been to Carson on purpose a few times...ehh...not worth it...and then I drive through there everyday...they need to finish that freeway so I can go around it...that'll be nice
but as I drive I spend time with God, its pretty nice...and I pray for Carson as I drive though...
