Christmas Music

My new favorite Christmas music has got to be the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I just bought one of their CD's and I really like it. Of course any orchestra that has four guitars and two basses accompanied by various keyboards and other orchestral instruments, will more than likely create a sound that makes me smile. I really like a wall of sound that an orchestra can provide if done right, I like to call it 'organized chaos'. Something that builds and builds to the point you can't build any more. I can't believe how some music can just make me smile, give me goose bumps, and just make me in a good mood. I forget about the bad situations I am in, the homework and projects I have to do. During that five minutes or so, it is all about that particular song. And it all depends on how well that song is put together that determines how much it moves people and in what direction. To me, those are the really great bands. The ones who know how to put together a song to match their theme and express that emotion through their music. The great bands make you feel their sorrow, join in with their joy, bang your head as if you were agreeing with the compilation (like Gary Rafanelli does to anything by Billy Joel).

Lord, I thank you for giving me the ear, drive, and talent to participate in this unique and creative way of communication. I pray that no matter what I do and how I play, it will eventually all point to You.

Dude, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is an abomination. They completely pervert Christmas music . . . or maybe they just remind me of past christmases worked in Sam Goody.

Best Rafanelli song? "Longfellow serenade . . ."

I skip the songs with words. And I think that the funniest Rafanelli song is when he tries to copy Pat Godwins I've got a Barney too. Made me laugh every time.

Sr. H-
on 10/7 you said you'd enforce a "no mask" rule for thorn... keep it in effect, & keep the blog world free from trolls.

The sco is right thorn, I was going to give you a chance, but you are still wearing that darn mask.
