Here is an interesting idea, Jesus was impersonated by John of Gamala, son of Judas from Gamala. This 76 year old man (Cascioli) brought charges to a local priest in Italy. Cascioli filed a criminal complaint in 2002 after Righi wrote in a parish bulletin that Jesus did indeed exist, and that he was born of a couple named Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem and lived in Nazareth.
You really should read these articles, there are a lot of them on the internet, but here is the one that I read from Fox News. If that doesn't satisfy your itch to know what is going through this guys head, articles can be found on google by typing in 'Jesus and Italy' and then going to the news section. He says that he wants to do this now because he really wants to do it before he dies. He even wrote a book about how Catholicism and Christianity have been duping people for 2000 years.
Any thoughts on this???

My comment was a little lengthy, so I posted it on my blog.
Georgia,do you know where this guy got John of Gamala, or did he just make that dude up? Is this the first anybody has heard of this or has this been floating around in asinine theory land for a while?
There were some historical figures associated with the Jewish Revolt against Rome @A.D. 70, among them John of Giscala, Judah of Gamala, and Joseph of Gamala. I'm not sure if Cascioli is basing John of Gamala on one of these or if it's another person that he's found some evidence of.
i'd be interested to see how this goes, because i was thinking of bringing litigation against my mom and the mall for the whole santa thing

I dont think anyone cares if a blog reply is lengthy. If they did, they'd probably say so. I think it's interesting that people are worried about "hijacking" someones blog. Good stuff. Or is that the real reason...Hrm...
