Okay, I was watching Back to the Future II this past weekend and it sparked those desires for things that Hollywood 'promised' in the future. Here is a list of things I wanted as a kid (and still want presently) but never came. Feel free to add to this list of Cinamized ideas that never made it to reality that would be really sweet.
- First is obviously a light saber
- Flying cars
- Cars that don't need oil
- Mini pizzas that you put in a hypermicrowave for 3 seconds and its a piping hot large pizza
- Floating skate boards
- Elevators that go really fast without making peoples heads explode
- Robots that don't suck
- Mine fields on Mars (I don't really care about that one)

You didn't mention transporting. That was the thing I always wanted for the future.
Little flying vehicles like in the Jetsons or Star Wars. Yes, and transporters would be nice too!
microwaves that put out whatever meal you want. like in the 5th element..."mmm, chicken good!!"
floating skateboards are real. i saw a behind the scenes special where they showed hundreds of matel hover boards stored in box cars, something about safety issues that is why they didn't release them.
Umm.. A Neuralizer, a noisy cricket, reverberating carbonizer with mutate capacity, and a series 4 Deatomizer. (all the goods from MIB) and heck a Ford POS MIB style

Remember the UN-type peaceful world at peace they always showed in the Star Trek movies? That's what I want. Oh that and the machine I can walk up to and say "Earl Grey...hot". :D
I want the 1 piece jump suite that everyone in the future wears...that'll make my day so much easier "do I want to wear the gray outfit or the gray outfit...hmmm"
